Report: Arjen Robben to stay at Bayern

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -Arjen Robben has turned down an offer from Juventus and will stay at Bayern Munich despite a dispute with fellow star Franck Ribery, according to a media report Friday.

Robben declined the Italian offer with a text message, Bild newspaper said, and printed what it said was its content.

"It's a great honor when a great club like Juventus is interested. But I have no interest at the moment," Bild quoted the message as saying.

Bild said Juventus had offered Robben a three-year contract with an annual salary of ?5 million ($6.54 million).

Robben's contract with Bayern expires at the end of the next season. Robben said in January that an extension was a "formality" but he still has to sign a new deal. The Netherlands winger was upset after being benched for a few games by coach Jupp Heynckes.

Bild's sister publication, the weekly Sport Bild, reported that Robben and Ribery were involved in a furious dressing room argument after the 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal this week.

The two stars may have even come to blows, the report said. The argument was over who should have taken a free kick shortly before halftime. Robben pulled Ribery back to allow Toni Kroos to take the shot.

Bayern players had to step in to separate the two, the report said. Both stars had to report to the club officials and the dispute was settled in a team meeting, Sport Bild said.

Bayern has refused to comment.

"What happens in the dressing room remains in the dressing room. We are not saying anything about it," Bayern's media director Markus Hoerwick said.

Hardest working man on the internet passes one million Wikipedia edits

Justin Knapp is probably the hardest working man on the internet after becoming the first person to pass the million-edit-mark on Wikipedia. Since 2005, he's made around 385 amendments per day, each one taking him around four minutes [Citation Needed]. Founder Jimmy Wales congratulated the 30-year-old on his personal feed and Mr. Knapp's been awarded the site's Special Barnstar medal and Golden Wiki award for his achievement. He took the news with a good dose of self-deprecating humor, saying that "being suddenly and involuntarily unemployed will do that to you." Hopefully there's a certificate wining its way in the post from the Guinness people.

Death for DVD, up with Streaming Video [Infographic] | WebProNews

Although physical DVD?s are still bringing in a lot of revenue for movie studios, they are slowly joining the ranks of Betamax, VHS, and Laserdisc. We all know it?s coming, in todays online streaming video world, DVD?s are the tools of dinosaurs.

There?s a lot of factors contributing to fall of DVD, but certainly a couple main reasons are cost and convenience. Who wants to drive all over town searching for the hottest new release when it can be much easier found by switching on your computer, if you ever really turn it off anyway. The average consumer cost for an online movie is $0.51, as compared to $4.72 for a DVD copy. That?s a dramatic cost difference and it doesn?t include the time and fuel used to go track the movie down.

Walmart recently introduced a program linked to their streaming VUDU service which allows customers to trade physical DVD?s for rights to an online streaming version for about $2 for regular formats, and $5 for high definition. I like the sounds of that. I would love to clear all those old DVD?s out of the closet.

This next infographic from Onlinedegrees.com fills us in on the state of DVD?s and what?s brewing in the online media world today. Movies are big business, but the days of DVD are numbered. Take a look:

Nokia head of sales resigns, department aims to reduce 'layers of management'

Colin Giles, Nokia's executive vice president of sales, has announced that he's stepping down. It follows the company's dour financial results for Q1 and will lead to a restructuring of the company's sales organization, aiming to strip layers from what's currently in place. Giles has been with Nokia since 1992 and was heavily involved in the company's movements in China and the larger Asia market. However, he had only been involved in Nokia's Leadership Team for just under a year. He will stay with the team until June 30 and cites a desire to be closer to his family following his departure. Announced through Nokia's official channels, the process aims to "ensure greater customer focus" -- we suppose that will involve more than just white polycarbonate.
